In the foothills of majestic Mt. Rainier lies Rainier Alpacas in Enumclaw, Washington. We are a small family farm run by Susan and Gary Hanson and our four children. Our days are all about our alpacas. We enjoy the daily routine of our hands on approach, giving our animals the upmost care and time, so that each animal, whether in for breeding or a regular member of our herd is given the best of everything. In return we have been given gentle, healthy and outstanding alpacas. Not to mention the peaceful and fulfilling way of life we enjoy every day.

Our goal is to steadily improve the quality of our herd, by improving the genetics each year. We offer diverse genetics in an array of gray and silver.With Emerald Farm's Rincon Cloud we offer one of the nations finest silver grey males. He is the '05 AOBA Nationals Color Champion and '05 Alpaca Western Extravaganza Color Champion and has won many other top awards. Rincon's cria are now on the ground and we could not be more excited about their WOW factor. In 2006 we have added east coast genetics from the Silvio line by introducing Silver Peruvian Master Piece offering incredible fineness at 17.6 microns. His breeding career will begin in spring 07'. Most recently we have added Premiere's Rubio who is still bringing blues home for his show stopping fiber. He has proven the ability to pass on his superior fiber characteristics to his progeny. They too are bringing home the ribbons from their first year in the showring.
